Second Helping, Inc. to Launch Food Distribution in Montrose Township

Second Helping will launch its hunger relief program in Montrose Township later this month to address food insecurity issues and challenges faced by some community and area residents.

While Montrose Township is located in the northwest corner of Genesee County, its proximity to Saginaw County and Shiawassee County can benefit food-insecure households from multiple townships and counties.

Coetta Adams, Montrose Township Supervisor, said “We’re looking forward to working with Second Helping to provide hunger relief to residents of our community, along with residents of other townships who may need food assistance.   Montrose Township cares about its residents’ well-being and we are pleased that a nonprofit hunger relief partner also cares about our communities enough to help food-insecure households.”

The free drive-thru mobile pantry food distribution event will be held on April 17:00 at 9:30 AM at Montrose Barber Park, located at 11410 Seymour Road in Montrose.
