Second Helping’s proprietary hunger analytics were launched one year ago this month, and we have now published our food insecurity indices data for twelve months.
“We’re proud of this one-year milestone,” said Michelle Ediva, Director of Hunger Outreach Programs at Second Helping. “When we compiled and launched our food insecurity indices one year ago, we did so because we wanted to better understand the hunger realities faced by the people we serve. We can confidently say one year later that our efforts have benefited us significantly,” she reported.
“We’ve received great feedback from others during the past year who enjoy reviewing our proprietary hunger analytics. This includes other hunger relief organizations, government policymakers, educational institutions, and many individuals,” she noted.
