Second Helping recently finalized its food distribution events from Hemlock’s Richand Township in 2024, attaining major success in this area of Saginaw County.
Rob Grose, Richland Township Manager, said “Second Helping achieved success in 2024 by donating more than 113,000 pounds of food into our community.”
Samantha Turner, owner of Custom Style Salon and Vice President of the Hemlock Business Association reported “We live in a community where we value the ability to serve others, and we did just that by distributing the equivalent of more than 90,000 meals to serve those who may need them the most.”
Michelle Ediva, Director of Hunger Relief Programs at Second Helping, reported “We’re very grateful to our partners at Richland Township, the Department of Public Works, Hemlock Business Association, and our volunteers. We fed needy households from dozens of towns and townships across the region at our events in Richland Township.”
