We provide meals to more than 10,000 households per year across a wide area of mid-Michigan, meaning we are positively impacting the lives of more than 35,000 food-insecure neighbors.
Our area of impact is very decentralized because we actively distribute food across Saginaw County, Genesee County, and Tuscola County.
The people from the 10,000+ households that we donate food to live in various counties across the state of Michigan, meaning our geographical area of impact is several thousand square miles in size.
We donate and distribute food in this decentralized way because hunger and food insecurity unfortunately exist in every community, and our distribution activities eliminate the need for our food-insecure neighbors to drive longer distances to a fixed, centralized location.
This approach significantly expands our total geographic area of impact, and results in us being able to provide healthy and nutritious meals to a broader number of households in more towns across the state.
The map below displays the different communities that are located inside the perimeter area where we donate and distribute food directly to food-insecure individuals.
