Second Helping, Inc. will launch its hunger relief program in Forest Township this month to help combat hunger issues in Otisville and surrounding areas.
Forest Township is located in the northeastern corner of Genesee County, and its proximity to Tuscola County and Lapeer County should also attract some residents in those areas who are facing hunger challenges.
Mary Ann Price, Forest Township Supervisor, said “We are pleased that Second Helping has expressed a commitment to the fight against hunger around our community. We’re optimistic that our residents and residents from other areas will benefit from these planned food distributions.”
The free drive-thru mobile pantry food distribution event will be held on May 29 at 9:30 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, located 212 Center Street in Otisville.
